Are there any changes we should make?

Note that the Kelvin History website is a newly innovated addition to our school's many historical memorabilias. With the hundreds of biographies already added by a group of dedicated students we are not always opportuned to receive information that would better benefit our alumni biographies. If by chance you feel as though you have some missing details on any particular alumni then we will graciously accept to hear about them from you personally!

Shane Perlmutter

Shane Perlmutter graduated from Kelvin High School in 1989, after which he went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Collège de Saint-Boniface in 1992, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manitoba in 1995, and was admitted to the Bar of Manitoba in 1996. Perlmutter currently is a judge of Her Majesty’s Court of Queen’s Bench for Manitoba, previously having served as a lawyer practicing primarily in the areas of civil litigation and administrative law, and made history as the first judge in Manitoba to allow live-feed video of a court case. He is an active member of the Manitoba legal community including the Manitoba Bar Association where he has served on several committees including Civil Litigation and Administrative Law. He was an instructor at the University of Manitoba, Faculty of Law and a guest speaker and presenter at numerous seminars and also served on the Committee formed by the Court of Queen’s Bench to consider amendments to the Rules on expedited actions.
