Note that the Kelvin History website is a newly innovated addition to our school's many historical memorabilias. With the hundreds of biographies already added by a group of dedicated students we are not always opportuned to receive information that would better benefit our alumni biographies. If by chance you feel as though you have some missing details on any particular alumni then we will graciously accept to hear about them from you personally!Suggest a Change

Date of Birth: 1965
Roger Currie is a writer, broadcaster, storyteller and former host of Winnipeg radio station CJOB. Currie graduated in 1983 from Kelvin High School and then went on to complete a degree with St. John’s College at the University of Manitoba. He spent twenty years at CJOB and in 1990 became the host of the station until 1999. Currie also spent four years at CBC radio as a program host. Currently, Roger Currie is broadcasting every morning Monday to Friday on CJNU and writes commentaries for “Currie’s Corner” which are not only broadcasted on CJNU but can also be found on his website. He also hosts “Dinner and a Movie” at the Metropolitan Entertainment Centre in downtown Winnipeg as well as doing book reviews in the “Winnipeg Free Press”, writing articles for the “Senior Scope” and in May 2013 he joined the Manitoba Film Classification Board.
