Are there any changes we should make?

Note that the Kelvin History website is a newly innovated addition to our school's many historical memorabilias. With the hundreds of biographies already added by a group of dedicated students we are not always opportuned to receive information that would better benefit our alumni biographies. If by chance you feel as though you have some missing details on any particular alumni then we will graciously accept to hear about them from you personally!

Robert Smithen

Robert Smithen has travelled to dozens of countries in five continents as an experienced actuary. Smithen has worked in many international projects where he set financial policies, established firm targets, and monitored finances. He served as the chief financial officer at Manu-life, a multi-national insurance company based in Toronto. Prior to that position, Smithen moved between various roles, ranging from product designer to tax reporter. Later he acted as the executive vice-president of the health-insurance company, Canada Life. As a member of the Society of Actuaries, Smithen has moderated and spoken on numerous panels regarding methods of responsible financing.
